Nexus are one our clients with whom we have kept a constant relationship aimed at improving their website over the course of nearly a year - we hope to keep up the great work that we've been able to achieve together for the coming year and beyond.
Design
Prior to our involvement Nexus had seen a number of revisions without achieving a clear design structure; they had parts that they loved about the site but equally had many parts that they hated. We wanted to achieve a common design ethos across the whole site - tying all of the individual elements together and giving a clear look across the whole site.
Our initial conversations and design proposals led to the site that you see now. Well ordered with a clear direction, we've incorporated elements that are effective in terms of content and search engine optimisation without losing key to a great website - user experience.
We're constantly working on way in which to improve the site from a design perspecitive, and already have big plans for 2011.
Build
Nexus is based on the ever popular Wordpress Content Management System (CMS) - one of the most effective made to measure web solutions that we offer. With an almost entirely rebuilt front-end system, the site is easy to update and relies on a great deal of content generated by the staff at Nexus
The site is updated daily with blog posts and additions to the site, be it in the extensive knowledgebase FAQ area or the local news sections, alongside twitter integration so that the staff can update the site constantly with important information for their customers.
Search Engine Optimisation
Search Engine Optimisation is the process in which we work to improve the rankings, and therefore visibility of the website on all search engines, including Google, Bing and Yahoo.
The key element to the success of the website is the care and attention that the staff and owner of Nexus (Dan Turner) give to the site. Their willingness to write blogs has ensured that search engines can see that the site is cared for and is constantly being worked on and improved on. By adding relevant content as often as they have they've achieved great things with the site - their visibility within Buckinghamshire has never been higher, and the number of enquiries generated as a result of this is growing consistently - the site really is a great example of how a little work can really pay off for a business, especially when it is targetting a local area.
